Auto-Mate 3.0:

AM 3.0 works on all Targets (PAT and EAT) and Keywords (all matches). Every 6 hours adjusts your bid based on your ACoS goals (“Max ACoS“), clicks (“Min. Action Click“) and spend (“Max Spend“).

AM 3.0 will start automating after 48 hours, and will ALWAYS skip the previous 48 hours of data when calculating new bids

The new bids are calculated based on:

  • Clicks
  • Sales
  • Max ACoS
  • Min Bid
  • Max Bid

AM 3.0 will wait for one of the 3 conditions before starting working:

  1. The Keyword or Target reached “Max Spend” without sales –> AM 3.0 will immediately drop its bid to “Min. Bid” regardless of the number of clicks it has
  2. The Keyword or Target reached “Min Action Clicks” and there are no sales –> AM 3.0 will immediately drop its bid to “Min. Bid
  3. The Keyword or Target reached “Min Action Clicks” and there are sales –> AM 3.0 will then look at the keyword ACoS compared to “Max ACoS” and adjust bids as defined below:
    • AM 3.0 algorithm will calculate the optimal bid for each entity (Keyword or Target) based on its conversion rate.
    • The system will gradually move toward the optimal bid with maximum daily increment or decrement of 20%/day
    • AM 3.0 bid range is limited by “Min Bid” and “Max Bid“.
    • AM 3.0 will never Pause nor Enable your Keywords or Targets

Keyword Miner & Term-Inator:

KWM and TI work every 6 hours on 3 main triggers (thresholds):

  • Min Action Clicks
  • Max Spend
  • Max ACoS
  • Orders7
  • Relevancy Trigger (KWM)

KWM and TI will wait for one of the 2 conditions before starting working:

  1. The Customer Search Term reached “Max Spend” without sales –> TI will negate regardless of the number of clicks the search term has
  2. The Customer Search Term reached “Min Action Clicks” –> KWM and TI will then look at ACoS
    • If ACoS is above threshold –> TI will Negate the search term
    • If ACoS is below the threshold and “Orders7” equal or above “Relevancy Trigger“–> KWM will Mine the search term

How KWM mines:

Exact Campaign: Exact Match
Phrase Campaign: Phrase Match + Negative Exact — Search Term Isolation —
Broad Campaign: Broad Match + Negative Phrase — Search Term Isolation —

How TI negates:

Phrase Campaign: Negative Exact
Broad Campaign: Negative Exact
Auto Campaign: Negative Exact

NOTE: The maximum amount of allowed words for a negative term is 4.
Any term longer than 4 words will be added as a negative keyword but truncated.

Example:
Bad Performing Search Term: “silicon mat for baking cookies
Resulting Negative Keyword: “silicon mat for baking


Target Miner & ASIN-ator:

TM and AA work every 6 hours on 3 main triggers (thresholds):

  • Min Action Clicks
  • Max Spend
  • Max ACoS
  • Orders7
  • Relevancy Trigger (TM)

TM and AA will wait for one of the 2 conditions before starting working:

  1. The Target Search Term reached “Max Spend” without sales –> AA will negate regardless of the number of clicks the search term has
  2. The Target Search Term reached “Min Action Clicks” –> TM and AA will then look at ACoS
    • If ACoS is above threshold –> AA will Negate the search term
    • If ACoS is below the threshold and “Orders7” equal or above “Relevancy Trigger“–> TM will Mine the search term

How TM mines:

ASIN Ad Group (PAT Campaign): Add ASIN
BRAND Ad Group (PAT Campaign): Negate ASIN
CATEGORY Ad Group (PAT Campaign): Negate ASIN


How AA negates:

BRAND Ad Group (PAT Campaign): Negate ASIN
CATEGORY Ad Group (PAT Campaign): Negate ASIN

[Currently discontinued by Amazon] AUTO Ad Group: Negate ASIN


Bid Gambler:

BG works on all (Targets and Keywords) once every 7 days on 3 main triggers (thresholds):

  • Clicks
  • Bid

7 days after the latest bid change (whether manual or automated), we look at the Keyword’s last 6 month clicks.
If Clicks = ZERO –> change bid to: Old Bid + 20%

BG will deactivate itself when the first click is reached, and never run again for that Keyword or Target.
BG bid range is limited by “Max Bid
BG does NOT work on TEST ad groups (Legacy Automation)


Discontinued: LEGACY AUTOMATION

Acting only on Exact Keywords, only if “Legacy Exact Automation” toggle is on


Keyword Guardian:

KWG works every 6 hours (only on EXACT keyword) on 4 main triggers (thresholds):

  • Min Action Clicks
  • Max Spend
  • Max ACoS
  • Min. Conversion Rate %

KWG will wait for one of the 2 conditions before starting working:

  1. The Keyword reached “Max Spend” without sales –> KWG will pause regardless of the number of clicks it has
  2. The Keyword reached “Min Action Clicks” –> KWG will then look at ACoS
    • If ACoS is above threshold –> Pause
    • If ACoS is below threshold –> Enable
    • If “Min. Conversion Rate %” is set we will look for 2 conditions before pausing a Keyword:
      • CR is below the threshold
      • ACoS is within the 90th percentile and 100th percentile of your  “Max ACoS



Keyword Recycler:

KWR every 6 hours (only on EXACT keyword) and will create “TESTAd Groups where it will test lower bids for any Keyword that KWG has paused and has at least one sale.
The new bid is calculated based on:

  • CPC
  • CR
  • Spent
  • Max ACoS
  • Sales7

KWR currently works only for “Exact” match Keywords
KWR bid range is NOT limited by “Min Bid” nor “Max Bid“, and it is static


Bid Nailer:

BN works only on EXACT keyword (no TEST). Every 6 hours on 3 main triggers (thresholds):

  • Min Action Clicks
  • CPC
  • Bid Increment

BN will wait for following conditions before starting working:

  1. KW reached “Min Action Clicks
  2. KW is Enabled

If both conditions are met, every 6hours we will change your bid to: CPC + “Bid Increment

BN bid range is limited by “Min Bid” but NOT by “Max Bid“.
BN does not work on TEST ad groups
